Gary Mogyorodi



Gary Mogyorodi has over 30 years of experience in the computing industry. He has consulted, trained and mentored in software testing, specializing in Requirements-Based Testing and Cause-Effect Graphing test case design. His customers have included organizations from medical, retail, banking, and telecommunication industries.

Mr. Mogyorodi’s career began working in IT at a major Canadian steel mill in 1973 where he moved from Programmer to Systems Analyst to Manager of Software Development. Since 1993, Mr. Mogyorodi has been a Quality Assurance and Software Testing specialist, managing test efforts, developing testing methodologies, and creating standards and procedures for testing.

Mr. Mogyorodi began practicing Cause-Effect Graphing with Bender & Associates in 1998. He taught Requirements-Based Testing, Writing Testable Requirements and Finding Ambiguities in Requirements for BenderRBT Inc.

A prolific speaker. He has delivered presentations at many engagements in North America including TASSQ.

Mr. Mogyorodi has been the President of the Canadian Software Testing Board since its inception in 2007. He is an accredited ISTQB Instructor for the Foundation Level, Agile Tester Extension, and Advanced Levels (Test Analyst and Test Manager). He has taught for several accredited ISTQB training providers since 2005.

He has volunteered as a member of the ISTQB Glossary Working Group since 2015. He is currently the Vice-Chair of the ISTQB Glossary Working Group.

Due to the current situation with Coronavirus and need for social distancing, the TASSQ board has decided, to continue sharing knowledge and support the QA community, to make the June 23 conference a free online event!

Speaker: Gary Mogyorodi

Come to learn about the ISTQB Certification scheme and the new certifications being offered by the ISTQB.  Gary will discuss the history of the Canadian Software Testing Board (CSTB) since its inception in 2007.  He will also be talking about the additional opportunities that are available to testers who are interested in being part of the ISTQB Working Groups.

Mr. Mogyorodi is the President of the Canadian Software Testing Board.
